David Wilson Homes East Midlands is delighted to promote the residential development of land off Bexley Drive at Castle Gresley, Swadlincote. Following pre-application discussions with South Derbyshire District Council, a full planning application is currently being prepared for the site, with the aim of securing permission for the development of 204 new homes, consisting of a mix of market and affordable homes along with publicly accessible open space.

We wish to engage with the local community to present our proposals for the site and seek your views prior to submitting a planning application to South Derbyshire District Council in the coming weeks.

This public consultation event sets out our initial design proposals as well as the technical and environmental considerations in developing the site. We are keen to engage with the local community and all other stakeholder parties before finalising our proposals and submitting a planning application by the end of 2024.

The overarching vision for the Site is to deliver a high-quality, locally distinguishable and sustainable addition to Castle Gresley. The proposed development will deliver new homes, public open spaces, play areas and enhanced areas of biodiversity.
